Pharmacology department at the University of Cape Town
University of Cape Town
2008

Invited to transform the entrance area of the Pharmacology department at the University of Cape Town, the installation aimed to act as an indexical and encyclopaedic reference for the department and its research. The forms are evocative of molecules, snowflakes and medieval rose windows – the imago mundi that represented all of the known world. The work was conceived as a propaedeutic ordering of knowledge through the image – and to act as  a mnemonic.
